The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it can be alarmed with regard to the high range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and sassa status check there's no completely functional office focused on service the area every day. The support issue created for intervention ordeals a high influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tough for that Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to empower the servicing of all buyers and enhance use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
